In 2021, in the Bronx, Mikey Rosado was shot and killed by the NYPD. At a vigil for his family, poet and actor David Roberts took the mic to perform Black Epiphany. His words carried the pain, frustration, and resilience of a year when Black communities worldwide rose up and demanded justice. Speaking directly to the grieving family, Roberts offered his poetry as both a gesture of healing and a voice of solidarity in their time of sorrow.
